Paris, Texas is the place that built its own Eiffel Tower capped with a 31 1/2-foot-tall red Stetson cowboy hat. It was constructed in 1993, although it might not be as grand as the original, it still manages to turn heads. The tower was built by members of the local welders’ union and is less than one tenth the height of the 1,063-foot original. The shiny red cowboy hat was added to the top of the spindle in 1998.

The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is a wrought-iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. Construction of the tower started on January 28, 1887 and was completed on March 15, 1889. It stands 1,063 feet tall and has become a global cultural icon of France and one of the most recognizable structures in the world.
